Hello, I’m Raj and I’m an animator and an illustrator. I make hand-drawn animations about everyday moments of urban life. My looping GIFs are usually about small but interesting things that happen all around us, but escape our attention.
Trained in film and classical animation, I like to work in a variety of mediums and techniques: pencil and paper, pastels, linocuts, stop-motion, video, 3D, and digital animation.
With clients, I frequently collaborate with agencies and brands to create engaging social media videos and animations. They include Anyways, Bumble and bumble, Smashbox, Origins, The Marshall Project, The Dip, and Philosophy.
Born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, I studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design and work out of my Brooklyn studio.
